Click here to view all obituariesJohn was a strong contributor to the success of the King's National Club. He would always go the extra mile (pardon the pun) to ensure the athlete's were given the support necessary to achieve their desired goals.
I remember when the Club decided we were going to compete in the Theme Corp portion of the CDN Championships in Edmonton. John immediately stepped up to drive the props across Canada to the event. He did the prep work to coordinate the rental trailer and ensure the props were safely transited to the competition site. This was done without any concern for his own personal time during the 3 day drive each way from Georgetown to Edmonton and return.
This memory stood out in my mind, as the rest of the Club flew to Edmonton in a few hours, while John freely gave of his time to complete this journey by himself over several days.
John's was also very supportive of his daughter as an active father that not only provided financial support, but also was present at most competitions to give her emotional support as a parent.
I know all the members of the King's National Baton Club respect John and will remember similar stories and supportive actions. John's energetic contribution to the Club, the sport of Baton Twirling and his positive influence on his daugter Andrea, will be remembered by everyone that had the priviledge to be in his company.
Rest in peace, John.
