Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Saturday May 24, 2014 at the age of 73.

Loving husband of Cheryl (nee Jellis). Dear father of Billy and his wife Naomi. Cherished grandfather of Logan. Dear brother of Ron Johnstone and his wife Michelle, and uncle of Matthew and Michelle Johnstone, and Angela and Steve Robertson. Brother in law of Cathy Jellis, Jack Jellis (Helen), Janet Jellis, and uncle to her children Tanya and Donald Pacheco, and Keith and Marjorie Jellis. Will be sadly missed by his long-time friends Wayne and June Spires. Predeceased by his parents Matthew and Rhena Johnstone, and his brother George Johnstone.

Bill was a retired employee with Firestone Canada, and a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Acton, Branch 197.

Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., and at MACKINNON FUNERAL HOME, 55 Mill St, Acton on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Church, 70 Mill St E, Acton on Thursday May 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
