Obituary for James Alfred Connolly

James Alfred Connolly passed away peacefully at home on Monday October 17, 2022 with his family by his side He was 83.
James was born on Jan 17, 1939 in Oshawa, Ontario. He graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical School in Toronto. He there began a successful career in Scientific Instrumentation repair. After a time working for large companies, he opened a business with partners in Mississauga. Eventually he became the sole owner and moved the business to Milton until his retirement. His high skills in electronic repair brought him many opportunities over the years. Trips to India and Jamaica were a few of the highlights.

Predeceased by his parents, Roderick Stuart Connolly and Pearl Elizabeth Connolly, he is survived by his wife of 60 years Tellervo, his son Shawn and his sister Beverly (Edward).

He enjoyed sports, played many while growing up on the family farm in Oshawa. In later years he became avid golfer. He was a long-time member at North Halton Golf club in Georgetown where he gained many friends and companions both on the course and at the 19th hole.

He was a keen listener and would gladly spend time in conversation at the local pub with a pint in hand.

There will not be a service, but a celebration of life will be arranged for friends and family at a later date.
