Obituary for Grant Walter Puncheon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Grant Walter Puncheon on April 2, 2020. Grant passed away peacefully at home. He was the son of John and Olive (Bishop) both deceased. Pre-deceased by his first wife Isabel (Brooks) 1961. He was the beloved husband of Carol Rydell for the past 30 years. Grant leaves behinds children, Pam (Walter) Murray, Greg and Anne Puncheon. Step-children Ian (Cory) Campbell, Gary (Linda) Campbell, Sharon (Alex) Veronine, Paul (Belinda) Campbell and Stephen (Patty) Campbell. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Ruth (Art) Andrews and Kaye (deceased) Dave Eagles. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews.

In his late teens, Grant joined the Canadian Navy in the early 40's. He worked for many years as a jewellery designer for Elliott and Bishop in Toronto. In 1955 he purchased and operated Grant's Motors with his father until his retirement. He is a life time member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Grant had a love for a good game of golf and will be missed by many members of the Acton Golf Club. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Acton branch. Due to COVID19, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later day.
