PATON, Gerard “Gerry”
After a lengthy illness, at the age of 82, GERARD PATON (Gerry) of Acton Ontario passed away peacefully on Nov 26, 2019 surrounded by family. Gerry was a long time member of the Acton Citizens’ and Lorne Scots Regimental Bands.
Predeceased by his wife Jean of 52 years. Gerry is survived by his sisters Joan Slamen of Toronto and Frances Pilkey of BC, and was younger brother to the late Brian Paton of New York. He is survived by daughters Karen Mathers (Todd), Denise Paton, Linda Saunders (Rob Martin), his granddaughters Amanda Paton, Kate Mathers (Ethan), Alex Rupoli (Andrew) & Jessie Saunders, and great-grandson Markus.
Family and friends wishing to pay respects are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday Dec 2, 2019 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the MacKinnon Funeral Home in Acton, Ontario.
Private family internment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Acton Citizen’s Band.
