Peacefully passed away, with family by her side on Thursday, November 7, 2019, in her 79th year. Joan was the loving wife of Brian. Dear mother of Tammy Phelan (Paul), Karen Vanderburgt (Kerry), and Lesley. Cherished Nanny of Maddisen, Kennedy, Ashley, Caitlyn, and Georgia.
Survived by her sister Jean Petherbridge and Predeceased by her brother Ron Clements from the UK. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, also in the U.K.
The family will receive friends at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home,
55 Mill St. E., Acton on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 1-2 p.m. A Memorial Service to follow at 2 p.m.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, would be appreciated by the family.
