August 4, 1932 Doezum, Holland – November 2, 2019 Acton, Ontario
Bert passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the age of 87. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Linda and his children; Ann Adema and her husband Peter, Rob Vanderlaan and his wife Sue and Karen Devries and her husband Henry. Bert was predeceased by his much loved daughter Terry (1985). Special Opa to Rob, Tina (Matt), Kristin, Carly (Bill), Luke (Lianne), Terrance, Danielle and Sarah and great Opa to Emily and Jacob. Bert will also be missed by his extended family and friends here in Canada and in Holland.
Friends will be received at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 365 Queen St., E., Acton, on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed,
on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 1 p.m.
A Private family interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery.
If desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
