September 29, 1938 – September 30, 2019
Unexpectedly, the Lord took to himself our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, at the age of 81, beloved wife of John Looyenga of almost 60 years. Mother of Rick & Bonnie, Sid & Hilda, Gerald & Cheryl, Harry & Kim, Rosemary & Mark. Grandmother of 14, and great-grandmother of 10. Predeceased by granddaughter Shania Slater in 2014 and two brothers. Survived by 8 siblings, also two aunts in Holland, Leida Kuiperij, Marie de Groot.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct 4, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 365 Queen St. E, Acton. On Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11 a.m., Pastor Ray Vander Kooij will officiate the funeral service at Bethel CRC in Acton. Interment Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to The Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
