NEWMAN, Ruth Elizabeth (nee Wheeler)
May 30, 1937 – September 13, 2019
Passed away on Friday September 13th, 2019 at the Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus, in her 83rd year with her daughters by her side.
Ruth, devoted wife of 50 years to the late Norman Newman. Loving Mother to Kathy Connor (Ken), Kim Anthony, the late Rick Newman (Linda), the late Fay Newman (Joe Cyganek). Cherished grandmother to Sarah (Kendal), Ashley (Daryl), Kevin (Jenn), Jeff (Natasha), Karen (Joe), Normandy, Brittany and Gracie and great grandmother to Trevor, Jonathan, Ethan, Abigail, Sebastian, Benjamin, and Frederick.
Beloved sister of the late Jim Wheeler (Doreen) and sister in law of the late John and Leona Newman. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born in Streetsville, Ontario and resided in Speyside for many years.
A warm thank you to the staff and wonderful PSW’s at Arthur Caressant Care where Ruth resided the last few years of her life.
A Memorial Service will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, 15 Wright Ave., Acton on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 11 a.m.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to C.A.S.H.H. or the Wellington Hospice.
