MANES, John David Reid “Dave”
March 23, 1938 – May 21, 2019
Suddenly, on Tuesday May 21st, 2019 in his 82nd year. He will be sadly missed by is beloved wife of 59 years, Marnie, to whom he was a devoted and doting husband. Loving father of Michael (Monica), Shelley (Kelly), John (Leigh) and Tom (Ashleigh). Proud grandfather of Kurtis (Juliann), Brooke (David), Jeffrey, Jenna, Brandon, Jacob, Julia, Maiya, Carter and Paisley. Great-grandfather to Kruz, Elle, Isla and Kash.
Will be fondly missed by his brother Tom (Donna), sisters Pat (Bill) and Jean. Pre-deceased by his parents Oscar and Rowena Manes, his brother Harold, his sister-in-law Madeline and his brother-in-law Stu Dryer.
Dave was not only devoted to his family but was also a committed member of the community, giving back with his time and service. He was a long serving member of a number of organizations, notably the Rotary Club and The Shriners.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place at theRoyal Canadian Legion-Branch 197, 15 Wright Ave., Acton
on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 4-7 p.m.
Cremation has taken place.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Acton Rotary Club or Credit Valley Shrine Club.
