NOLAN, Adele Helen (nee Chew)
August 18, 1934 – April 19, 2019

Passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Christie Oaks Care Home in Acton, at the age of 84. A proud Acton resident since birth, Adele was born on Aug. 18, 1934 to the late Beatrice (Mellon) and Harry Chew. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Nolan. Faithful sister to Frances Marcoux, Jacqueline Nolan, and the late Patricia Macpherson. Adele is survived by devoted son Paul Nolan, grandsons Liam Nolan and Daniel Nolan, daughter-in-law Tracey Howell Nolan, and step-granddaughter Emily Kuch. She was a loving aunt to Kathleen Nolan, Michael (Lynne) Marcoux, Mary Frances (Dugald) Dick, Kevin (Susan) Marcoux, David Marcoux, Rand Macpherson, the late Cindy (Carl) Smit, Pam (Wolfgang) Fisher, and Andrea (John) Bergman.

Adele worked diligently at numerous jobs over the years, some concurrently. From Beardmore & Co. to the Olde Hide House, her resume reflected her home town’s history of industry. She contributed her skills at Mason Knitting, Superior Glove Works, and finally at Georgetown Wal-Mart, where her warmth and good humour made her a most popular customer-greeter.
