I remember with great fondness my time with the Acton Citizens Band under George's leadership. The stories he told, the bus trips to Santa Claus parades, and spreading the joy of music. I learned so much and am pleased to say I still belong to a community band.

On behalf of me, my sister and my three daughters I would like to express our condolences.

We all have so many fond memories of playing in the band. My three children picked up an instrument at young age under Georges instruction and played throughout high school. I recall the twins sometimes carried the banner in parades while their older sister and I marched behind. He was such a pillar of the community providing direction and motivation to so many people of all ages. I was just listening to the radio when Elgar’s Nimrod from Enigma Variations was played - another of many moving pieces that remind me of all those performances over the years. George was so dedicated and organized. We will certainly miss him.
