Obituary for Roy Gibson
GIBSON, Roy
July 2, 1924 - December 22, 2018
Predeceased by his mother May and father Philip. Roy was born in Risca Monmouthshire and when very young moved to Bristol.He joined R.A.F during WWII and served in Iceland and Bletchley Park. In 1946 he married Eunice and had two daughters, Ann (Watkinson) and Margaret Eddolls (late David). Roy and Eunice emigrated to Canada in 1989, joining their daughters and families here in Acton, Ontario. “Dede”, as he was known by his grandchildren, was patient and loving, telling endless stories. Roy is sadly and greatly missed by his wife of over 72 years Eunice Gibson, Daughters, Ann Watkinson, Margaret Eddolls.
Grandchildren Helen, David, John, Philip, and Ruth. Great-grandchildren, Aidan, Alex, Matthew and Cameron.
Resting at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home Ltd., 55 Mill St. E., Acton, where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CASHH) would be appreciated by the family.
