Obituary for Randy Warren Mitchell

Print
MITCHELL, Randy Warren
April 20, 1950 – October 8, 2018

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Randy, surrounded by his family on October 8, 2018 in his 69th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Karen Tribble. Lovingly remembered by his children Travis (Sonia) and Chad (Melissa), and their mother Elaine. Adored step-father of Charlotte (Cam) and Madeline (Austen). Proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren.

Randy was, among many wonderful things, a passionate mechanic, apprenticing at Tyler Transport in the 1970’s, then returning again in 2009 after a career as a Sargeant at Maplehurst Correctional Facility in Milton and, after that, operating his own auto repair shop. Randy had many friends at Tyler Transport and retired with the company in June. Randy was loving, hard working and dedicated. He enjoyed working with cars and buses, and spending time at home and with his family. He loved growing and tending his many vegetable plants and had a love for all animals. He most enjoyed just sitting and feeding the fish in his beautiful pond in summer and watching the birds and squirrels come to his feeders in the winter.

As per Randy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of his Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 197, 15 Wright Ave., Acton on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Upper Credit Humane Society or the Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills would be appreciated by the family.
