GUTHRIE, Elizabeth “Betty” Douglas (nee Strathdee)
May 8, 1919 – September 11, 2018

Passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Eden House, in her 100th year. She was predeceased by her Husband Douglas Tobin (2005). Loving mother of Margaret (Wayne) Wilson of Rockwood, ON and Bruce Guthrie of Newcastle, ON. Dear grandmother of Douglas (Patty) Wilson, Brett (Karen) Wilson, Jerry Guthrie and David Guthrie. Great grandmother of Derek Wilson, Daisy Wilson, Logan Wilson, Victoria Guthrie
and Charlotte Guthrie.

Betty was a Veteran of WWII and a member of the ATS (The women’s branch of the British Army). It was during this time that she met and married her Canadian soldier, Douglas and made Canada her new home. The couple were lifelong residents of Crewson’s Corners, ON.

We would like to thank Eden House, staff and management for their kindness and care of Betty for the last two months.

As per Betty’s wishes cremation has taken place.
