Peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday May 6, 2017 in his 89th year. Devoted husband of Anita for 62 loving years. Dear father of Richard (Bisa), Judy (Graham), Janis (Jim), Robert (Lesley), David (Michelle), Brian (Shirley) and Gina (Ringo). Proud grandfather of Jason, Donnie, Brian, Jarod, Ryan, Katie, Andrew, Ben, Tyler, Dana, Kyle, Noah, Frank and Sarah. Great-grandfather of Jordan and Rylee.

Frank was a man of many accomplishments. His distinguished professional career began after 15 years of service in the Royal and Canadian Navy with many great service men and women whom he often recalled quite fondly to those who would listen. Dad progressed in the insurance industry as a boiler and pressure vessel expert assisting companies throughout the world in mitigating risk. His many travels in this capacity took him to the far corners of the world. Trips abroad with great colleagues took him to Ghana Africa, Zurich Switzerland, Antwerp Belgium and quite happily back to his ancestral home of Jamaica. Though distinguished in his professional career, his greatest accomplishment was the family he and his “Neats” nurtured with patience and care. Dad always lived by the motto “Commit to Commitment.” If you do something, do it well and fully. The family he leaves behind is buoyed by lessons he has shared. This proud sailor is on his final cruise into the hands of the Lord where he will be reunited with his mother, father and dear brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home,
55 Mill St. East, Acton, on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday May 11, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with Parish Prayers at 7 pm Wednesday. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph Patron of Canada Parish, 64 Church Street East, Acton on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11 am. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
