Peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Joan (nee Nicolas) Papillon, at the age of 69, was the beloved wife of David for 49 years. Loving mother of Kim (Guy) and Keri (Yogi). Forever loved Nana of Mackenzie, Montana, Merek and Mekhi. Dear sister of Jerry, Carl and Sandy Nicholas, Mary Jane (Bob) Brenton, sister-in-law Florence Papillon and brother-in-law Fred Gordon. Cherished aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Helen Nicolas and her in-laws Archibald and Ida Marie Papillon. Brothers-in-law Kenneth and Ronald Papillon. Sisters-in-law Pauline Gordon and Jacklyn Papillon and her infant brother Raymond.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton, on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Patron of Canada Parish (64 Church St. E., Acton) on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington Guelph or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
