June 17, 1930 – September 16, 2018

Peacefully at Wellington Terrace, Fergus, on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in his 89th year. Loving husband for 68 years to Lucy. Dear father of Pat (Ted) Curtis, Leona (Doug) Christie, Catherine (Jopie) Visser, Theresa (Grant) Gibson and Helen (Martin) VanOpstal. Proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Leo will be remembered by his brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Leo was a dedicated life member of the Halton Hills Fire Department.


The Family will receive friends at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton, on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 197 (15 Wright Ave., Acton) on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Acton. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to C.A.S.H.H (Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills) or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
