BISHOP, Karen
January 16, 1963 – March 11, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Karen Margaret Bishop announces her sudden passing at her home on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the age of 55. She is survived by her companion of 20 years Frank Noseworthy and her ex-husband Doug Bishop. Karen was the daughter of the late George (2016) and Agnes (1989) Horder. She was the loving mother of Balie (Chris Grant) and Carlie Bishop (Kerry Kauanaugh). She was the very proud Nanny to Savannah, Mia, Devon, Landon and Dex. Karen is also survived by her sisters Debbie, Brenda, Gina (Dave), Mary Kay Smith, and her nieces Kay-Lin, Brandi, Michelle and her nephew Evan. Her passion was her grandchildren, the outdoors and her garden. She enjoyed woodworking and baking with her grandchildren. Karen battled cancer for the past year and fought a very hard battle. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and dear friends. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. Cremation to take place. A Celebration of Karen’s life will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 197 (Ladies Lounge), 15 Wright Ave., Acton on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Childhood Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family.
