Condolence From: Ted & Dorothy Hilton
Condolence: Unfortunately, distance and aging issues kept us apart for the past few years, yet we often thought of Art, Irene, Nadine and Joe, in the hope that we might, someday get back together again. Today, we're saddened to hear that our friend has passed on before we could accomplish that goal - but heartened in the knowledge that he has Gone Home. Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of Art, and know that our prayers are with you all at this time.

Condolence: Art was a dear family friend, one of my bosses many years ago, and a best friend to my dad. I have so many happy memories going to Art & Irene's home and visiting with Allen and Nadine, while my parents had coffee and dessert. Irene, Nadine and Allen, I am so sorry this has happened to you.....I know what it's like to lose someone so dear that it literally hurts. But like my dad so beautifully said in his condolence, I am also rejoicing that he is with his precious Lord and Saviour. Praying for you and all your families at this very very sad time.

Condolence From: Fred Toews
Condolence: Regarding my friend Art ... Our friendship dates back over fifty years and Art never ceased to inspired me. He helped me out in the shop for many years and always encouraged me when the going was tough. While in business together, when everyone else had different ideas about resolving a crisis, Art was always the last person to speak. And when he did, we all agreed with his decision, because it was usually the only one that made sense. ... Art was an amazing man and we all appreciated his many talents and of course, his musical abilities. In our younger days, Art tried teaching me to play the guitar. As bad as I was, we did go to a lot of parties. But trust me, it was his talents and not mine, that got us invited to play. I have many fond memories of us going to the races and tractor pulls. We talked about many things and much about outer space. In fact, our families were together and watched the first man walk on the moon. When there was a job to do, Art had to get it done right now, with excellence ... something that is sadly missing in the world today. I have always appreciated his zest to ... "Get 'er done!" Being friends and "practically" cousins, we spent quite a bit of time together. If we missed seeing each other, we would call ... and yes, he always had a joke. And no matter what we discussed that day, he usually always turned the topic of conversation to something spiritual. He wanted to talk about the good things of the Lord. In Acts 16:31 the Bible says ... "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." What does that mean? Saved from what? ... Saved from eternal separation from God. ... Art believed. He had given his heart to the Lord many, many years ago and I know without a shadow of a doubt, that Art is in Heaven right now with His Lord and Saviour. ... I, along with many others will miss hanging out with our friend. He would engage us in interesting conversations and always had some adventurous project on the go ... but believe me when I tell you ... this now will be his greatest adventure! So, to Irene, family and friends ... Susanne and I extend our deepest sympathy. Art was a true friend and personally I'm a better man for knowing him. ... Thank you, Fred Toews
