Life Story for
Ron Thomson
Ron’s story
His journey began in Hazel Dell, Saskatchewan on October 14, 1936.
His first job was as a truck driver in Manitoba. He finished his career at Standard Products/Cooper Standard. He took the train to Union Station in Toronto and quickly met the love of his life, Marj. They married on November 30, 1957 in Alderwood and recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. They began their family. Ron loved his family; with a special piece of his heart given to his grandchildren, he excelled in woodworking, fixing and building whatever was needed for his family and friends. He and Marjorie built their family home of 53 years just outside Limehouse. He was THE guy to call when you needed anything --- built, fixed, designed, sorted out, or just to share a tea and conversation with.
Ron passed away peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 lovingly surrounded by his immediate family.
Ron is predeceased by his parents, Alex and Annie Thomson, and his siblings; Dorothy, Ralph, and Olive. Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife Marjorie; daughters Kathy (Gary), Linda, and Judy (Roy), and grandchildren; Brad (Taryn), Danielle (Ryan), Riley, Cody, Charlotte, and Steph; as well as his siblings; Earl (Thelma), Richard (Doreen), Thelma (predeceased Alfred), Viola (predeceased Dan), and Rosalie (Roy) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
