FEENSTRA, John
August 24, 1920 – January 14, 2017
Passed into glory on Saturday January 14, 2017 in his 97th year with his family by his side. John was a long time member of the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Acton. Husband of Nellie (nee Petronella Vander Weit) for 72 glorious years. Father of Oscar (Joanne) Feenstra of Acton, Greta Wedge of Guelph, Ann (Jack) Lanthier of Rockwood, John (Lisa) Feenstra of Guelph, Charlotte (Jerry) Trotter of Apsley and Pamela Feenstra of Guelph. John is survived by his sister Ann Koopmans of the Netherlands and Jim Feenstra of Acton. Grandfather of 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by his youngest son Thomas Feenstra, his two oldest grandsons Kenny and Jeffery Feenstra, brother in Netherlands Harring and son-in-law Clifford Wedge. The Feenstra family wish to extend their extreme gratitude for the loving and compassionate care that the doctor and staff of the St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre have displayed during their father’s stay.
Friends will be received at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home,
55 Mill Street East, Acton, on Wednesday,
January 18, 2017 from 7-9 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday January 19, 2017
at Bethel Christian Reformed Church,
365 Queen Street, Acton at 2 p.m.
Cremation will take place.
